I was researching Hedda Lundh and Else Marie Pade separately and you can only imagine my delight when their paths crossed in the tales. There's even a wonderful photo of them and other members of their explosives gang as old ladies hanging around and having a laugh.
Hedda's resistance work led her to becoming an explosives expert, teaching others the art of railway sabotage and "everything that went bang" as well as continuing her own acts in the field. Her students were all women, one of which was Else Marie Pade.
Together they would use the misogyny of the guards to their advantage, working plain sight as they planted bombs and scoped out targets, looking like no more than "silly drunk girls". Else was a particular fan of pretending to pull her socks up while she looked around. We've shown Hedda rummaging in her bag to check the dynamite is still ok - she would of course be less obvious but the mini wouldn't be as cool.
At onme point while captured, Else Marie Pade scratched the notes of a tune into her cell wall with her garter buckle and determined that if she ever got out of this, she would dedicate her life to music. She did just that, and that song "Du og jeg og stjernerne" can be seen on youtube, where she plays it in her older years. She became a massive deal in the electronic music genre, pretty much pioneering the whole thing.
