"Marie-Louise" of the 82e Regiment de Ligne. DelPrado no. 32. SNP029,
The so-called Marie-Louise Army (fr.: les Marie-Louise) was the nickname for the French conscripts of the years 1814 and 1815, who were called up by the Senate on the initiative of Empress Marie-Louise as early as 9 October 1813. This so-called " décret Marie-Louise " covered above all the young recruits of the last batch, who were untrained and inexperienced in warfare and who were therefore placed alongside veterans of the Grande Armée. With these "novices", the French Emperor won victories at the Battle of Champaubert and the Battle of Montmirail. - Wikipedia -
