Large plaster mould (w. 10 x h. 11 x 7 cm) for the production of a raw figure: Indian chief, sitting no. 200. Absolutely unique piece. Collector's rarity! Function of the mould not tried.
Walter Merten (19.1.1907 - 8.5.1984) began after the Second World War in Berlin with the production of semi-massive pewter figures. He developed his own moulds for civil and later also military themes. Since 1953 three-dimensional figures were produced. Especially the Wild West figures in sizes from 4 cm were popular. In addition, there were railway figures in the size 4 cm and to the H0 gauge. Merten also released some large 7/8 cm figures. The metal figures, popular with collectors and as toys for children, were produced until the mid-1960s.
