Hans Joachim von Zieten, known as Zieten aus dem Busch (* 14 May 1699 in Wustrau, Ruppiner Land; 27 January 1786 in Berlin), was a Prussian cavalry general under Frederick the Great. He fought in the Silesian Wars and was victorious at the Battle of Hohenfriedberg. Zieten was one of the most important generals of his time.
