DelPrado no. 33. SNP030 original box. William Carr Beresford, Viscount Beresford, (born 2 October 1768; died 8 January 1854) was a British general and Portuguese marshal during the Napoleonic Wars. From 1811 to 1821, as British military commander in Portugal, he was the actual ruler of that country.
