Polish designed and produced PZL TS-11 Iskra is the only jet trainer (until introduction of M-346 Master) in the Polish AF. Between 1963 and 1988 a total of almost 450 aircraft were built, of which two variants remained in service in 2015: training TS-11 bis DF and recce TS-11 R "Novax" designed in 1990s for the Polish Navy. For many years all TS-11s wore overall aluminium livery. In mid-1990s unit-applied camouflage schemes were introduced onto the maritime aircraft, which later, after scheduled overhauls in WZL-2 in early 2000s, received a unified camouflage (in recce or training variant) and remained flying it also after transfer back to Polish AF. In the recent years some ex-maritime Iskras returned to overall aluminium scheme.
