The Panzerkampfwagen IV (short PzKpfW IV or Panzer IV) was a German medium tank of the Second World War. The experiences of the previous campaigns were reflected in the "Version F" (7th /BW), which was delivered from April 1941. The front armour of the turret and hull was reinforced from 30 to 50 mm, the side armour from 20 mm to 30 mm. The drive wheels were minimally changed and the guide wheels, previously made of cast steel, were now made of welded tubes. At the same time, the tank received slightly wider tracks. The front of the hull was now straight again and was not to be changed. The driver and radio operator received a slightly improved visor opening and bullet shield respectively. The side turret hatches of the gunner and loader were now made in two parts. An improved aiming device for the gunner was also used. - Wikipedia -
