Initially established as Eurowings Discover in 2021, the Eurowings subsidiary served long-haul tourist destinations in North America, the Caribbean, and Africa with a fleet of Airbus A330s. Shortly thereafter, additional tourist destinations, such as the Canary Islands, were transferred to Eurowings Discover, with the first medium-haul A320s joining the fleet. To more clearly differentiate Eurowings, which now focuses on the low-cost segment, parent company Lufthansa separated the leisure airline division and rebranded it as Discover Airlines, complete with its own branding. The Discover fleet now includes 13 A330s and 12 A320s for long-haul routes, serving popular tourist destinations around the Mediterranean and in Scandinavia.
