The life of the small Belgian regional airline Air Antwerp, which started on 9 September 2019 with its headquarters in Antwerp, was short-lived. Just two years later, it had to cease operations for good in June 2021, having already interrupted them several times before due to a lack of passenger traffic during the Corona pandemic. The only aircraft in the fleet was a single Fokker 50, which it operated between Antwerp and London City Airport, an important route for diamond and commodity traders.
