The battle is considered exemplary for the medieval battle order of the Gevierthaufen. It is also the birth of the heroic legend of Arnold von Winkelried, who is sung about in the Sempach battle song. According to this, he is said to have thrown himself into the spears of the enemy in order to open a breach for the Confederate attack.
Suitable for many scenes, e.g. for the battles of Sempach in 1386, Tannenberg in 1410 and many others.
