(28 April 1813 in Bunzlau; after the painting of his adjutant). On the Tsar's orders, Kutuzov had taken the war against Napoleon beyond Russia's borders in January 1813, and after Prussia's declaration of war on France, he became commander-in-chief of the allied troops for a short time. Severely ill and almost blinded, the old soldier finally succumbed to the hardships of war. Superbly engraved and, despite their static posture, very lively and individual figures that are in no way inferior to the drawings.
