A dramatic scene is depicted here: Desperately the settlers fight to save their homestead. This series includes, among other things, three original figures cast from old Spenkuch moulds: a cast-in wire is formed into a lasso. Very impressive figures, engraved by Ludwig Frank. The series also includes the only known signed semi-plastic figure from Offizin Georg Spenkuch/Nuremberg, which can be proven to have been engraved by L. Frank: an attacking Indian on horseback!
