Plastic model kit of a trebuchet (catapult) with 45 parts. Height built 125 mm.
The trebuchet is the most powerful long-range throwing machine in the history of mankind. The name of this siege machine is derived from a French word. These catapults were brought to medieval Europe by the Arabs, who called them Manjanik. In Russia, such a machine was called a vice. The trebuchet shoots on a curved trajectory and is perfect for firing at fortresses. This huge machine is capable of hurling a 20-kilo stone at a distance of 400 metres. The total weight of the ready-to-fire trebuchet is around 20 tonnes. The rate of fire of this powerful siege weapon, which was operated by a crew of 12 to 15 people, was just two shots per hour.
