Anatomy of a japanese Samurai-Army in the 16th. and 17th. century. In the western literature about the japanese Samurai, there was no comparable book with a detailed analysis about those armies until today. How were they composed? Which role played the warriors of the different branches and types of weapons? What was the difference between japanese and european armies of these centuries? Sometimes these armies had more then 100.000 warriors. How did they fight? Which tactics did they know? For figures-collectors and wargamers, it is interesting to learn, where each soldier had his special place in the battle order. The two volumes ranging work is largely based on the analysis of japanese literature and secondary sources in japanese language.
