Volume 98 of the "Windsock Datafile" series. By August 1914, three two-seater biplanes formed the backbone of the German army's air service; manufactured by Albatros, Aviatik and LVG, they had strong airframes with sufficient space for crew members, cameras and light bombs as well as a generous supply of fuel so vital for long-range reconnaissance.
