The Panzer III was one of the most numerous German tanks of the war. With a good balance of speed, firepower and protection, the Panzer III was a well-liked armoured fighting vehicle with its crews of five men, and was capable of going toe-to-toe with heavier Allied tanks until the mid-period of the war. The Panzer III was an incredibly flexible tank that carried a wide array of armament during the war. This boxed set allows you to build one of five different variants: - Early and late versions of the Ausf. J with its 5cm main gun and extra frontal armour. - The Ausf. L, which saw an upgraded long 5cm main gun and further armour upgrades. - The Ausf. M clad in trademark schürzen armoured skirts and deepwading exhaust. - The Ausf. N infantry support tank with its short-barrelled 7.5cm gun.
