This issue is dedicated to the development and significance of the machine gun from its beginnings in the 19th century to the latest generation of this type of weapon. The contents delve into the topics addressed in Special No. 31 "Infantry Weapons", shedding light on the inventors and users, the concepts and the theft of ideas. Similar to its successful predecessor, Special No. 40 "Submachine Guns", the new special issue not only provides the historical and technical details, but also shows the background and context of the cross-border development.
