Whether with cylinder breech, straight pull, underlever or fore-end system - since the debut of breech-loading repeating rifles in the middle of the 19th century, these multi-loaders have dominated the market for rifled long guns. Currently in vogue are repeaters with so-called chassis systems and powerful underlever repeaters for hunting wild boar in particular; at the cutting edge, there is a boom of its own in rifles with straight pull systems.
From this rich fund of material, the Sights team has selected 20 rifles for this issue, tried them out and prepared the results of the practical tests in test reports.
