Pictorial book on the early series of the Panzerkampfwagen IV (with short 7.5 cm gun). The text is practically limited to the captions, which, however, often contain very precise information, such as the exact date of the photograph, the unit and variant of the vehicle shown, and the like. Many original shots from the front, at full speed, during railway marches, during repairs, off-road, as wrecks, in snow and mud or under palm trees in Africa.
The picture material also includes some very rare original shots, such as of the Panzer IV D diving tank or of a Panzer. IV crossing a pioneer bridge. The historical colour photos are also remarkable. A remarkable picture source book not only for the historian but also for the demanding model or diorama builder in search of new ideas and previously unknown details.
