This book presents almost two dozen museums and memorials on the Allied landings in Normandy in June 1944, describing their military-historical background and their exhibitions. The photos - in addition to some original historical photographs - mainly give a first impression of the exhibits and the way they are presented: Remarkable, for example, is the lively way in which many of these museums present their material, not infrequently in the form of life-size dioramas. Of course, each chapter also contains the complete address of the respective museum, including telephone number and, as a rule, information on opening hours. A museum guide that is specifically tailored to this topic and helps to avoid wrong decisions (and thus the loss of valuable holidays).
