The overview begins with a brief historical outline of the origin and development of the military formation "Division" in Prussia and the German Reich, respectively, from the end of the 18th century to 1939. In the main section, the user is given a general overview of the divisions and brigades of the army (structure, equipment, strength) established in the years 1939 to 1945 in easily comprehensible chapters divided according to types of arms.
