Division 2025 symbolizes a turning point for the German Armed Forces: starting in 2025, NATO's 10th Armored Division will provide a combat-ready forcefor the first time not just as a troop contributor, but as a fully equipped large unit. At the core of the division are two German heavy armored brigades and the Dutch 13 Light Brigade, giving the force a binational orientation from the outset. Close cooperation with the Netherlands will be further intensified by a Dutch deputy division commander. The German contingent of the Franco-German Brigade is also attached and can provide reinforcement in an emergency. To ensure operational readiness, the division will be prioritized in terms of personnel and equipped with existing material. The goal is cold start capability: ready for action without lengthy preparation. Structural adjustments have been underway since 2023, such as the integration of the Dutch brigade and the revision of internal processes to improve interoperability. Originally, the division was not planned until 2027, but the security situation required it to be brought forward it will now become a reality in 2025. This booklet looks at the individual units and their material equipment in Division 2025.
