In the still young history of the "European Activity Set" (EAS), there have already been many changes since its commissioning in 2014. The initial idea of the EAS was based on the Pentagon's considerations to compensate for the missing presence of heavily armoured units after the withdrawal of the last two American heavy combat brigades from Baumholder and Vilseck in spring 2013. Issue 81 of the series "Vehicle Profiles" shows the vehicle fleet of this relatively young U.S. Army heavy task force during an exercise on the territory of the FRG with the help of exclusively colour photos.
A two-page introductory text briefly informs about the history and organisation of the EAS.
