In the German language they were classified as "Flakpanzer", but their official designation in the NVA was "Fliegerabwehr-Selbstfahrlafetten" (Fla-SFL), this designation originating from Russian. The second part of the booklet deals with the other self-propelled gun systems of the NVA until the fall of communism in 1989.
