This booklet documents the Bundeswehr's current tank force with its still six battalions and also presents the future tank force according to the "Heer 2011" structure. A large number of almost exclusively colour photos first provide an eight-page insight into the development of the Bundeswehr's tank troops from their beginnings in the 1950s to the Bundeswehr of today. This is followed by an overview of the vehicle equipment of the German tank troops in the present.
