Prince of Orange (1806-1815) as William VI. In 1809 he joined as a volunteer in the army of Archduke Karl, in which he participated in the Battle of Wagram. Then he went to England and landed when in November 1813, when the Prussians invaded Holland, the people rose against the French rule, on 30 November in Scheveningen.
Wilhelm Frederick of Orange-Nassau (* 24 August 1772 in The Hague; 12 December 1843 in Berlin) was Prince of Nassau-Orania-Fulda and thus Prince of Fulda, Prince of Corvey, Lord of Weingarten and Count of Dortmund (1802-1806), (as William VI.) Prince of Orange (1806-1815) and (as William I) Sovereign Prince of the Netherlands (1813-1815), King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg (1815-1840) and Duke of Limburg (1839-1840).
