Although there is extensive literature on German edged weapons, there are no special treatises on German lances. In this brochure, the author has focussed on the lance model used by the German cavalry regiments until 1927, the tubular steel lance. This contribution is the result of many years of research in contemporary literature as well as comparisons with real pieces in museums and the author's collection of about 80 lances.
