Preußen around 1900. Königin Augusta Guard Grenadier Regiment No. 4. This regiment is the 4th of the Guard Grenadier Regiments of the Prussian Army. By the appointment of Königin Augusta as regimental commander, the unit received a new designation on 18 October 1861 and was calledß 4th Guards-Grenadier Regiment äKöniginô. After the death of the Königin in 1890, the regiment was transferred from her last residence in Koblenz to Spandau in 1893. It was renamed Königin Augusta Garde-Grenadier-Regiment No. 4. On 1 September 1895, Großherzogin Luise von Baden was appointed the new head of the regiment. In 1897 Berlin then became the last peacetime location of the äAugustanerô (barracks facilities at Columbiadamm).
