Hundreds of contemporary bw photos of one of the most famous self-propelled guns of World War 2, the Sonderkraftfahrzeug 165, better known as "Hummel". The path from production in Duisburg to its deployment before Stalingrad in 1943 is shown. The volume is supplemented by colour photos of a restored vehicle in the Munster Tank Museum.
