In 1948, the 2CV was presented to the public for the first time. With this purist, inexpensive small car, which was easy to maintain and simple to operate, Citroën offered a robust mass-produced vehicle for the people, which had an extremely good suspension in keeping with the sparsely developed road network. From 1981, when the 2 CV had long since become a cult object, a two-colour version appeared in series production, the wine-red-black 2 CV 6 Charleston, which was followed from September 1982 by a yellow-black version, both equipped with an air-cooled 0.6-litre two-cylinder boxer engine and 29 hp output. In keeping with the original, the kit features chrome hubcaps, the typical chrome headlights as well as a multi-piece engine and, of course, a movable bonnet.
