The Hs 132 was designed and built as a single-seat jet-powered dive bomber by Henschel-Flugzeugwerke. Six prototypes were planned. The Hs 132 was to be tested with a wide variety of engines. It was planned to equip V1 and V2 with BMW 003 engines, V3 and V4 with Jumo 004 engines and V5 and V6 with HeS 011 turbines. By early 1945, the V 1 with BMW 003 engine was almost completed and the remaining machines were in advanced stages of construction when everything fell into the hands of the red arms. The special feature of the machine was that the pilot did his work lying down.
