The famous duel between D'Artagnan and Rochefort from the novel The Three Musketeers. The Three Musketeers is a novel by Alexandre Dumas the Elder in collaboration with Auguste Maquet. It was published in 1844 and is the first part of a trilogy about d'Artagnan and his three friends Athos, Porthos and Aramis, who belong to the Musketeers of the Guard. The subsequent volumes are called Twenty Years After and The Viscount of Bragelonne or Ten Years Later.
