The 4th issue contains reports on South Korea's ambitions to build a Blue Water Navy using helicopter and aircraft carriers, the preparations of the USS Gerald R. Ford for its first deployment in 2022 and in our historical report we shed light on the background to the transfer of the missile corvette Hiddensee to the USA in 1991. We also present the F/A-18 Super Hornet naval combat aircraft, Mexican patrol boats of the Sierra and Durango classes and Thailand's only aircraft carrier in detail. And we report on the current trials of the USS Nimitz - which will be 50 years old in 2022 - after a long lay-up in the shipyard.
