This is an illustrated history of the 305th Bomber Squadron of the British Royal Air Force, a Polish exile unit, in WW2. Known as the 'Wielkopolskie' Squadron, it began its journey in the RAF as a night bomber formation, flew daytime bombing raids from 1943, and finally ended the war as a specialist low-level bombing force. This volume describes in detail the history of the 305th as well as the types of bombers it flew during the war: Vickers Wellington, B-25 "Mitchell" and De Havilland "Mosquito". Another central topic are the paint schemes and markings used.
