The name "Starfighter" is a legend! In 1954, the rocket-like fighter flew for the first time and soon after, all previous climb time, altitude and speed records were toppled, as the aircraft consisted almost entirely of engine and razor-sharp stubby wings. The Bundeswehr also flew the type as the F-104G. The Starfighter's reputation remains legendary and Gerhard Lang memorialises it here.
