Railway, Reichsbahn. General designation SSys, generic district Cologne The second generation of heavy platform wagons built from 1942 onwards had the same dimensions and characteristics as their predecessors. Externally, they were recognisable by the modified angular fish-shaped outer longitudinal members. They also had a lowerable brakeman's platform railing, a handwheel for the parking brake on each side of the wagon, eight removable steel stanchions and a Hik air brake. However, they were licensed for a maximum speed of 90 km/h and the pivot spacing was only 5 950 mm. - Wikipedia -
