This book tries to preserve some of the knowledge of the "ancients". In its main features, the content is still true today, even if optronic night-vision equipment, drones, battlefield radar and seismic motion detectors have made things more complicated and difficult. The compilation of patrol experiences presented in this book does not intend to be a textbook that presents the patrol craft without gaps. The learning process of the proponents speaking here was too different for that. But this is how they experienced and learned, and it can be assumed that this can still provide inspiration today.
