The book describes the attempt by an English commando under Lt. Col. Geoffrey Keyes to excavate General Rommel's suspected command post at Beda Littoria (Sidi Rafa's) during the night of 17 to 18 November 1941. Although numerous files have disappeared, the author has succeeded, based on statements by contemporary witnesses and in particular on the meticulous research of LtCol. Keyes' sister, in meticulously tracing the events.
