6 June 1987, a young sailor who has just obtained a patent for rocket artillery service boards the aircraft carrier "Clémenceau", which is making a stopover in Brest. 10 June 2021: The author, still a sailor at heart, finds himself as a photographer on board the aircraft carrier "Charles de Gaulle" and embarks for a few days for a tour of the Mediterranean. In the 34 years between these two dates, he has remained tirelessly true to his passion for naval aviation.
The author immerses the reader in this very closed microcosm, especially through photographs taken in the alarm room during the "debriefings" conducted by the landing officers, as well as through the authentic vocabulary of the flight deck. An emotional excursion at sea, captured in spectacular images.
