The urban definition of that particularly English word "Knackered" means "completly worn-out" or "physically exhausted". It is in most common usage in Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and New Foundland. Our British "Tommy" here is sitting down by the roadway or perhaps in the back of a truck ... but the description is still appropriate.
