With more than 3,500 helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and drones, the US Army Air Force is one of the largest air forces in the world. The filmmakers look back on the history of the US Army Air Force, describe its beginnings and its famous battles in Vietnam, and continue the story up to the most recent NATO mission in Eastern Europe. They then describe the AH-64 Apache combat helicopter, the Chinook heavy-lift transport helicopter and the Blackhawk multi-purpose helicopter, the Guardrail surveillance aircraft and the MQ-1 Grey Eagle drone, as well as smaller UAVs. Finally, they describe the most important units of the US Army Air Force, provide an overview of the tactics used by these units, and take a look at the future technology of this branch of the armed forces.
