The "tunic", the dress and parade uniform of the German soldier during the Second World War, is documented in all its diversity using high-quality photographs. A total of 87 examples of this type of uniform are depicted, representing the various ranks (ordinary soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers) as well as the different branches of the armed forces and Wehrmacht services. For example, the rare parade outfits of the field chaplains can be found alongside those of Nebelwerfer units or those of the elite regiment "Großdeutschland". Additional details are provided on the various insignia on the tunics, possible markings or tags inside the uniform and the cut. In addition to the colour photos, there are also 300 contemporary b/w photos documenting the correct and incorrect way of wearing the tunic.
