Lancia Delta Integrale Safari 16v

The sports version of the road-legal Lancia Delta HF 4WD is an icon of rallying. The Delta HF was produced in the second half of the 1980s and competed in the World Rally Championship from 1987 to 1988. During this time, it won two world championship titles and took first place in numerous rounds, including the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally and the Sanremo Rally. Its successor, the Lancia Delta Integrale, remained in competition until 1993, winning a further five world championship titles and cementing the off-road success of the Italian manufacturer Lancia. In 1988 and 1989, the Lancia Delta secured significant victories at the Safari Rally, the legendary event launched in 1953, which traversed several African countries and is regarded as one of the toughest races in the world. The Delta was specially prepared with custom suspension, more robust shock absorbers and various additional protective features to better cope with the challenges of the routes.
