Jeanne dĺArc (* probably 6 January 1412 in DomrÃmy, Lorraine; Ä 30 May 1431 in Rouen), also known in German as Johanna of OrlÃans or the Maiden of OrlÃans, is a French national heroine. She is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church as a virgin, märtyr and saint. During the Hundred Years' War, she helped the troops of the Dauphin (heir to the throne) to victory over the English and Burgundians at OrlÃans, and then led Charles VII of France to his coronation at Reims. -Wikipedia-
