The kit manufacturer IBG Models from our neighbouring country Poland has released this new kit of a light Wehrmacht field howitzer. The leFH 14/19(t) was an improved version of the Skoda houfnice vz 14 built from 1919 onwards and used by the Austro-Hungarian Army in WWI. The improved post-war model was produced in Czechoslovakia by the famous Skoda automobile company. After the occupation, these howitzers, among others, fell to the German Wehrmacht. Initially, the howitzer was not used in the front lines. From 1942 the guns were used by the Wehrmacht in defensive and fortified positions. The howitzer included in the kit is the version with rubber tyres and could therefore also be towed by motor vehicles. The parts of the kit are very cleanly moulded and hardly need any finishing. The building instructions are in Polish and English and are clearly illustrated and leave no questions unanswered. A big plus is the enclosed aluminium gun barrel. Even the rifled barrel is reproduced here! Have fun building ... You can find more pictures in our blog.
