A superbly illustrated history of the I Battalion of the 24th Armoured Regiment of the German 116th Armoured Division during the fighting in Normandy in July and August 1944. Day by day, the reader can follow the deployment of this troop and its vehicles, including many Panzerkampfwagen V "Panthers", from the successes and failures at Beaucoudray, in the Percy region during the Mortain offensive, then in the Département Orne north of Alencon, in the Falaise cauldron and finally in the retreat battles to the Seine.
