When people talk about American lorries, they immediately think of long-distance transport, forgetting that on the other side of the Atlantic, transport also takes place over short distances and that not all vehicles there are unusually large. It must be admitted, however, that "interstate" transport, which, as its name suggests, takes a driver across all roads and through several states on the same journey, can be seen as emblematic. Undeniably, two brands stand out from the crowd here because of their prestige, which gives them a glamour: Kenworth and Peterbilt. Kenworth offered a range of models with bonnets, the "conventionals", as well as models with the cab moved forwards, the "cabovers", a combination of "cab over engine". The Kenworth K 100, Kenworth's flagship model in this category, won a loyal clientele thanks to its reliability and inimitable aesthetics, incorporating the company's famous radiator guard.
