The Blackburn "Buccaneer" is one of those quintessentially British aircraft designs that proved to be more versatile and effective than originally intended. While it flew extremely stable at high speeds and very low altitudes for both the Fleet Air Arm and the Royal Air Force, it was only towards the end of its career that it came into the limelight it so richly deserved; during the first Gulf War the few Blackburn 'Buccaneers' that were used became important aids to other aircraft in destroying targets with precision weapons. In this book the reader will find a close-up view of this magnificent jet. A close-up made possible with the help of the Buccaneer Aviation Group.
