The effects of the Trianon Peace Treaty (4 June 1920) and its impact on the Hungarian army are the focus of this work. With the help of rich contemporary photographs, offprints, museum and archive documents, and maps, some of them as supplements in the book, this volume presents the changes within the Hungarian armed forces brought about by the Treaty of Trianon during the 1920s.
The work describes how the Hungarian army was organised, equipped and clothed in accordance with the provisions of Trianon, how restrictions on armament and army strength were sought to be undermined by a 'secret' army, and what everyday life was like for Hungarian soldiers in the 1920s.
