In 1967, Braniff International, based in the US state of Texas, revolutionized commercial aviation with its radical new color schemeor rather, color schemes. No fewer than 15 different liveries were designed to attract attention and appeal to passengers. This Boeing 727-200 in striking red is the first in a new series of Braniff models in 1:500 scale. Red would become one of the most popular colors, painted on no fewer than 17 aircraft, including seven 727 trijets. More colors and aircraft types will follow.
